Penn State New Ken Soccer Preview 2012

The Penn State New Kensington men's soccer team enters 2012 looking to improve on their 8-7 record from last season. The team returns only 7 players from the 2011 campaign, including defensemen Adam Bombalski, Michael Toney, Colton Tomporoski, and Chris Capo, along with midfielders J.D. DeMarco, Michael Clear and forward Steve Warhola.

Coach Cavanaugh will be counting on the veteran leadership of Bombalski and DeMarco to shorten the learning curve for the team's 8 new players. The 8 fresh faces for this year's squad include goalie Jimmy Cook, defensemen C.J. Drischler and Casey Cavanaugh, midfielders Perry Sciulli, Cory Senn, Tyler Lloyd, Brandon Smail, and forward Ashutosh Pandey.

This year's schedule features 16 games, of which 5 are home and 11 are away. The first home game is scheduled for September 8th against Penn State Mont Alto at 1pm. All of Penn State New Kensington's home games this season will be played at Valley High School.
