APOLLO, Pa. - The Penn State New Kensington golf team showed great improvement with a 70-stroke improvement over its previous season low.
Mike Raggiunti (Verona, Pa./Plum) and Kensey Knapp (Oakmont, Pa./Riverview) led the Lions, finishing in 11th and 12th places, respectively.
John Raggiunti (Verona, Pa./Plum) followed in 14th place, while Eric Green (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) rounded out the scoring for PSNK, finishing 20th.
New Kensington returns to University Park on Monday, Sept. 24, for the Penn State University Athletic Conference Blue Course Invitational. The shotgun start is slated for 10:00 a.m.
