New Kensington Falls Short to Fayette 12-4

Fayette, PA - Penn State New Kensington starts the scoring early in the first thanks to a sacrifice fly from Sophomore Nick Osbourne. Fayette would fight back scoring 7 runs through the first 4 innings off of a D. Bohna homerun and a pair of RBI singles from Iannou and Bohna. New Kensinton would score 2 more runs but it wouldn't be enough, as Fayette tallied 5 more runs through the last 3 innings off of singles from Despot and D' Andrea, and a New Kensington error. The lions would fall in a one sided match 12-4.

The starting pitcher for New Kensington was Sophomore Nick Osbourne. Osbourn went 3.1 innings allowing 6 earned runs on 7 hits and 2 homeruns in the loss.

Jorge Palmas was the winning pitcher for Fayette, going all seven innings allowing just 4 runs on 5 hits and 3 strikeouts.

Freshman Karter Weitzel and Junior Max Oliveri both had extra base hits in the loss.
