DuBois Sweeps New Kensington in PSUAC Baseball Action

DuBOIS, Pa. - Penn State DuBois swept Penn State New Kensington in a three-game PSUAC series over the weekend. The losses drop New Kensington to 1-6, while DuBois improves to 9-5 on the season.

In the first game on Saturday, DuBois held New Kensington to one hit in a 11-0 victory. Junior infielder Vinny Ribar (Apollo, Pa.) had the lone hit for New Kensington. 

DuBois won the second game of the doubleheader, 8-1. Sophomore outfielder Jake Stackiewicz (Murrysville, Pa.) had two hits and scored New Kensington's run. 

On Sunday, DuBois completed the sweep with a 12-1 triumph. Sophomore catcher Darius Bennis (Leechburg, Pa.) drove in freshman Alex Polka (Vandergrift, Pa.) in the loss. Stackiewicz and freshmen Justin Lindeman (Murrysville, Pa.) and Michael Dauer (Lower Burrell, Pa) each had two hits. 

New Kensington travels to Penn State Mont Alto on Friday, Mar. 30 for another PSUAC game. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
